Masslift Africa Is Hiring: Marketing Coordinator – South Africa


Role Purpose:

To ensure, in conjunction with the CFO, that the company’s marketing activities are carried at the highest standard within budget. To use their creativity to add value to internal communications, company events and conferences as well as manage projects at hand effectively and within deadline.

Experience and Minimum Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or from a creative background
Must have strong organisational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Must have strong analytical skills to analyse metrics and create reports.
Must have a high level of creativity.
Occasional travel may be required.
Ability to use relevant software and programmes to maximise deliverables such as photoshop, video creators etc.
Graphic design capabilities will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Internal communications
Content creation for quarterly newsletter
Send out communication as and when required to all staff regarding birthdays, notices, competitions etc.
Oversee the year end function preparation and execution.
Manage service excellence awards and year end awards including certificates, awards, gift vouchers etc.
Work with value champions to come up with content regarding values to be communicated.
Come up with internal comm plan and calendar for events such as Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day etc.
Be involved in the annual budget setting for internal communications.
Coordinate and plan any gifts for suppliers, customers or staff.
Coordinate and plan any requirements for internal staff including business cards, forklift stickers etc.

Internal events management
Coordinate and plan social functions including Social Fridays, virtual meetings etc.
Coordinate and plan the annual management strategy weekend away.
Coordinate and plan the annual sales conference and other conferences as and when needed.
Coordinate and plan golf days or customer days as and when required.
Coordinate and plan all teambuilding events as and when needed.

Travel Management
Coordinate staff travel arrangements including booking of flights, accommodation and airport transfers.

Website Management
Work with marketing agency to update the website regularly with relevant content.
Coordinate the upgrade of the website.
Ensure quarterly (or as frequently as required) update of the home page.
Ensure the correct vacancy is uploaded onto website within the requested time frame.

Digital Marketing
Create content and themes together with the marketing agency for social media updates.
Review monthly SMC and ensure that it is aligned to the Mitsubishi marketing guidelines.
Read and understand the Mitsubishi guidelines with regards to marketing
Understand Masslift business plan objectives with regards to marketing sales
Liaise with department heads monthly regarding marketing requirements and promotions etc.
Order any promotional material required and liaise with service providers accordingly.
Liaise with dealers with regard to any social media content they would like to advertise.
Review social media posts to ensure that they are posted as per agreed SLA with marketing agency.

Ad-hoc Tasks
Any other task that the executive or leadership team may request.
Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness.
Conduct market research and identify trends.
