Intercare Century City Medical Centre situated in Cape town, seeks to recruit a Visa Clerk. The purpose of the position is to provide a professional, effective, and accurate service to all patients related to an appointment and service at the practice.


  • Deliver friendly, effective, and professional service to providers and clients practicing or patient’s visiting the facility, in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Provide accurate information to clients and patients regarding Intercare, professional availability,  payment, and appointment requirements in accordance with Intercare policies and procedures.
  • Ensure correct and accurate data completion and capturing of patient information and documents.
  • Timeous and accurate submission of patient information, reports and results on practice and Visa portals.

  • Effective and timeous scheduling of appointments with professionals and providers and managing the diary of the Visas.
  • Effective and accurate communication to patients regarding requirements of Visa application regarding Intercare, professional availability, payment, and appointment requirements in accordance with Intercare policies and procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure timeously and accurate opening of files for Visa applicants, patient coordination and referring patients to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure accurate management of Visa files and filing / electronic filing, scanning, and linking.
  • Ensure accurate processing of the Visa applications on the Visa portal.
  • Attend to patient and client queries (Telephonically, email or provider portals) with notes on Goodx.


  • Minimum qualification: Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a customer focused service environment, e.g. reception, will be advantageous.
  • Computer proficient.
  • GoodX system experience will be advantageous.
