KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Foreman, Mechanical
The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

By having to monitor, coordinate and control maintenance teams to ensure availability of Plant equipment for operations. You will have to supervise the specialist Artisans. The scope/portfolio of this role includes, tasking and checking preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and ensuring Plant equipment availability.
You will have the following:
A Trade Certificate, being a
Qualified Artisan being
Fluent in English, Swahili, French and Mandarin, with
Experience in the mining environment and having at least
2 years supervisory experience and 4+ years’ relevant experience in mechanical and electrical systems
Preferably you will have:
A University level study in an Electro-Mechanical field
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:
- Understanding of Concentrator flow sheet and processing system
- Planning and Project Management

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
Process: Coordinate teams of artisans to maintain Plant
- Prioritise preventative maintenance scheduling repairs, breakdown repairs and delivery in accordance with business objectives
- Monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability
- Manage and oversee Contractors and service providers
