Marketing Lead

Job Description



A forward thinking and innovative medical technology company is looking for a creative and versatile Marketing Lead with a minimum of seven years’ experience within a marketing role to join the team.

Job Purpose:

Drive the operations of the Marketing Department to achieve the revenue goals of the B2B division through the development and execution of strategies (across various channels) to promote and generate interest (and resulting sales and share of voice) for the company.


Minimum education (essential):

  • BCom Marketing or relevant Degree

Minimum education (desirable):

  • Relevant Postgraduate Degree

Minimum applicable experience (years):

  • 7 years
  • Required nature of experience:
  • Compilation and execution of B2B marketing strategies
  • Marketing budgets
  • Digital Marketing strategies and optimization
  • Management of a marketing team

Remote Working:

  • 2 days work-from-home in line with Company Policy (only applicable after probation is successfully passed)


Team Management 20%

  • Ensure scalability by building team and organizational capacity and capabilities.
  • Increase team’s efficiency and output on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure the team meets timelines and produces content of the highest quality, always maintaining the professional image of the company, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure that the team has the support and resources it needs to thrive and develop professionally.
  • Foster an environment to encourage innovation and ensure that marketing practices are aligned with industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintain strict management confidentiality in terms of knowledge of HR details and Executive decisions and information.

Strategic Marketing 20%

  • Compile, present and execute marketing strategies across a range of channels (traditional and digital), coordinating with the sales, finance and production departments.
  • Drive marketing strategy to achieve B2B strategic and revenue objectives.
  • Report on, and optimize monthly performance.
  • Oversee and provide guidance regarding brand messaging, advertising, and promotional campaigns.

  • Drive market and competitor analysis, incorporating this into marketing strategies.
  • Increase brand awareness and market share.
  • Explore new markets and determine feasibility of new market development, competitor landscape and business case.
  • Sign off on marketing materials and campaigns, setting metrics for performance.
  • Monitor and optimize marketing initiatives taking a data-driven approach.

Reporting and Budgeting 10%

  • Take complete budget and strategy ownership:
  • Compile realistic and strategic budgets.
  • Adhere to budgets as part of strategic execution, including events, product launches and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Report and track actual monthly expenses in comparison to budgeted figures
  • Compile & present marketing reports, driving data-driven insights.
  • Manage weekly Marketing Reporting (Sales & Marketing Meeting)
  • Drive optimization in performance, by allocating and moving spend to most effective channels.
  • Drive achievement of B2B revenue goals, tracking over time and making mid-course corrections to ensure target is made.

Marketing Management 20%

  • Lead nurturing journey development and optimization
  • Mailer campaigns management: drive strategy and performance of mailers and drip campaigns.
  • Brand positioning and corporate identity management.
  • Execute large scale local and international events and webinars, driving outcomes.
  • Manage external suppliers and resources including; printers, photographers, videographers etc.
  • Approve all marketing collateral, ensuring performance optimization and accuracy of content.
  • Manage social media channels and app review platforms.

  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness of marketing campaigns across channels.
  • Implement and optimize internal marketing processes to drive accuracy, efficiency and outcomes.
  • Drive the company’s PR strategy and implementation:
  • Continually invest in entering and pursuing new accolades on behalf of the company, increasing brand credibility with awards and/or accreditation.
  • Manage various relationships with suppliers and media partners.
  • Manage the creation, distribution, performance and reporting on press releases and media content.
  • Manage product packaging and labelling in line with QMS requirements and best practises.

Digital Marketing Management 25%

  • Drive website design and optimization, measured through conversion and interaction metrics on the company website.
  • Manage B2B website:
  • Ensure continuous functioning of the website and that content is displayed optimally.
  • Optimize performance through monthly Google Search Console checks and corrections.
  • Track analytics and make changes based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensuring accuracy and relevance of website information and customer journey

  • Manage the content development and optimization of the company blog, including connecting with bloggers, writers and websites to increase backlinks to the company website.
  • Oversee all digital marketing campaigns (Google, Facebook and LinkedIn campaigns, 3rd party campaigns), liaising with agency where required:
  • Drive content and messaging of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct keyword and negative keyword research for digital marketing purposes.
  • Connect creative and technical teams to ensure effective running of all campaigns and conversion tracking.
  • Oversee social media strategy, planning, design and implementation.
  • Manage agency relationship, strategy, performance and optimization.

QMS 5%

  • Ensure that QMS guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all supporting documents are kept to date.
  • Ensure that all processes are kept relevant.


Market related (Including a risk benefit and pension fund contribution and a 13th cheque)
