Established in 1936, The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (FEM) is a mutual insurer operating under license from the Compensation Commissioner and our business is governed by the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act of 1993. Our operations are restricted to the Building and Construction Industry under the 0500 subclasses of the Department of Employment Labour’s classification of industries. FEM is registered as a non-life insurer in terms of the Insurance Act 18 of 2017.
FEM is looking to appoint an experienced sales and business development professional who is target driven and enjoys a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining and exploring new business and servicing existing policyholders in respect of the operations of the business.
The position requires a candidate that can influence people, think strategically, have excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and has experience in developing and maintaining professional stakeholder engagements and relationships. A proven track record of achieving sales and new business acquisition targets in the range of R6M and more. The ability to speak more than one language as well as good report writing skills are essential in this position.
The minimum requirements of the position are Matric with a minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in financial services and/or insurance.
